  2. 4th period - Forensics • Bell Ringer: Once blood is removed from an individual it must be seals in an airtight container with what additives? Turn in 4 bell ringers from this week • Chapter 10 Test - Izzy, Marcus, Micah • CSI - Caged • TV Report #8 due May 2nd

  3. 5th& 6th period – Physical Science • No Bell Ringer • Criss-Cross Method Video • Finish Writing formulas (Criss-cross method) from yesterday (it is the same WKT that was in the video) • Turn into the tray when finshed • See Sub for 2nd worksheet • Learning Check #2 – Ionic Formulas & Names • HW – If you DID NOT Finish Writing formulas (Criss-cross method) WKT, we will grade it on Monday • 2nd WKT is NOT homework

  4. 7th period - Chemistry • Starter: Identify each as atom, molecule, or formula units: MgCl2, NO2, Ce. • Then convert 74.2 grams of NaOH to formula units. • Learning Check #1 • Pass out periodic tables (they are on the book shelf above Forensic books) • Students may use calculators • 10.2 Practice Problems with a partner • Work on #1-4, 9-12, 16-20 • Educreations video reviewing 10.2 Problems

  5. Starter Answers • Atoms = smallest unit of elements • Molecules = smallest unit of covalent compounds • Formula units = smallest unit of ionic compounds • MgCl2 = form u; NO2 = mc; Ce = atoms • Then convert 74.2 grams of NaOH to formula units. 1.12 x 1023 form u

  6. After learning check • Turn Learning Check into the tray • Begin working on 10.2 Practice Problems • Once everyone is finished you will pair up to continue working on the problems

  7. 7th period partners • Beginning working on problems 1-4, 9-12, and 16-20 • Remember to show all your work, in particular your picket fence and your units • If you get finished with those, attempt the remaining questions • At 2:20, you will review the assigned problems via Educreations
