  6. FTA Updates Transportation Authorization • SAFETEA-LU expired on Sept. 30, 2009 • Hiring Incentive to Restore Employment (HIRE) Act extended funding to Dec. 31, 2010 • Next Authorization to focus on livability, sustainability and performance-based investments • Coordinated Planning Programs?

FTA Updates Discretionary Programs (FTA, OST) • Bus Livability/Urban Circulator – pending • Clean Fuels Program - $81.2M – closed 6/14 • State of Good Repair - $775M – closed 6/18 • Transit in the Parks Program - $25M – due 6/28 • Alternatives Analysis Program - $25M – due 7/12 • TIGGER2 - $75M – due 8/11 • TIGER2 (OST) - $600M – pre-applications due 7/16, final due 8/23

FTA Updates ARRA Planning Update • No ARRA Amendments allowed after September 30, 2010 • No ARRA Amendments = No ARRA TIP/STIP Amendment Requests • FTA Grantees have until September 30, 2015 to drawn down ARRA funds • Limited Budget Revisions will be allowed • ARRA Grants will be closely managed until closeout
