Project “Networked journeys”EUMEDIS InitiativeMEDA Programme General objectives • To enhance the sense of proximity of culture in the Mediterranean areas • To make the world of archaeology more accessible thanks to the use of new technologies • General increase in income and entrepreneurial growth • To award professional status to the activities in the archaeological sector, by also improving the quality of services and products. • To create a network of permanent co-operation between local authorities, enterprises and research institutes

Project “Networked journeys”EUMEDIS InitiativeMEDA Programme Specific objectives • Increase tourist flows linked to archaeological areas situated along the ancient trade routes of the Mediterranean • Increase in commerce, in particular for arts and crafts enterprises specialising in the archaeological sector

Euro-Mediterranean seal of quality for art and craft products linked to archaeological areas 4. Creation of online bookshop for the sale of art and craft products 5. Creationof a Remote Exchange Point for archaeological tourism in the Mediterranean 6. Trainer training

Project “Networked journeys”EUMEDIS InitiativeMEDA Programme Expected results • Create a network of archaeological areas situated in the Mediterranean and market the touristic and cultural resources by means of a Web Portal • Increase in income and entrepreneurial growth • Re-orientation of tourist flows towards minor sites • Re-qualification of the activities of artists and craftsmen
