Surah 17: Al-Israa’ BálãIᶠCáÏáÃᶠåÈâWåGásáF åÉãHáÑ åÈâ¿ãtâ·ÊáãÛ åÈâXËátåcáF åÈâXËátåcáF åÉãHákã`åtáÇåÂB åBÒâÃâgåká×ãÂáÑ åÈâ¿áÎÒâ_âÑ åBÑâJÒâtá×ã ãTáoãgÝB âkå®áÑ ACá_ ý7þ Bæo×ãRåXáW åBåÒáÃá® CáÆ åBÑâoãäRáXâ×ãÂáÑ èTáäoáÆ áÁáäÑáF âÍÒâÃágáj CáÇá¾ [17:7] If you do good, you will do good for your own souls, and if you do evil, it shall be for them. So when the second promise came (We raised another people) that they may bring you to grief and that they may enter the mosque as they entered it the first time, and that they might destroy whatever they gained ascendancy over with utter destruction. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ CáÊåkâ® åÈâäWkâ® åÉãHáÑ åÈâ¿áÇácåoáÖ ÉáF åÈâ¿âäQán Ôátá®ý8þ Bæo×ã|ác áÌÖãoã¶Cá¿åÃã áÈáäËáÏá_ CáËåÃá¯á_áÑ [17:8] It may be that your Lord will have mercy on you, and if you again return (to disobedience) We too will return (to punishment), and We have made hell a prison for the unbelievers. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ ãÄå×áäÃÂB áUáÖD CáÊåÒádáÇᶠãÌå×áXáÖD ánCáÏáäËÂBáÑ áÄå×áäÃÂB CáËåÃá¯á_áÑåÈâ¿ãäQáän ÌãäÆ æÚå£á¶ åBÒâ³áXåRáXã æTáoã|åRâÆ ãnCáÏáäËÂB áUáÖD CáËåÃá¯á_áÑâÍCáËåÃáä|ᶠèAåØáw áäÄâ¾áÑ áPCátãdåÂBáÑ áÌ×ãËãätÂB ájáká® åBÒâÇáÃå¯áXãÂáÑý12þ æÚ×ã|å·áW [17:12] And We have made the night and the day two signs, then We have made the sign of the night to pass away and We have made the sign of the day manifest, so that you may seek grace from your Lord, and that you might know the numbering of years and the reckoning; and We have explained everything with distinctness. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ âäÄã£áÖ CáÇáäÊãIᶠáäÄᢠÌáÆáÑ ãÐãtå·áËã ÕkáXåÏáÖ CáÇáäÊãIᶠÓákáXåÎB ãÌáäÆáÌ×ãQãämá¯âÆ CáäËâ¾ CáÆáÑ ÓáoågâF ánåpãÑ çTánãpBáÑ ânãqáW áÙáÑ CáÏå×áÃá®ý15þ æÙÒâsán á]á¯åRáÊ ÔáäXác [17:15] Whoever goes aright, for his own soul does he go aright; and whoever goes astray, to its detriment only does he go astray: nor can the bearer of a burden bear the burden of another, nor do We chastise until We raise a messenger. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ åBÒâ»átá·á¶ CáÏ×ã¶áoåXâÆ CáÊåoáÆáF æUáÖåoẠáÀãÃåÏâäÊ ÉáF CáÊåjánáF BálãHáÑý16þ Bæo×ãÆåkáW CáÎCáÊåoáäÆákᶠâÁåÒá»åÂB CáÏå×áÃá® áä¼ádᶠCáÏ×㶠[17:16] And when We wish to destroy a town, We send Our commandment to the people of it who lead easy lives, but they transgress therein; thus the word proves true against it, so We destroy it with utter destruction. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ áÀãäQáoãQ Ôá·á¾áÑ èbÒâÊ ãkå¯áQ ÌãÆ ãÉÑâoâ»åÂB áÌãÆ CáËå¿áÃåÎáF åÈá¾áÑý17þ Bæo×ã|áQ Bæáo×ãRág ãÍãjCáRã® ãPÒâÊâmãQ [17:17] And how many of the generations did We destroy after Nuh! and your Lord is sufficient as Knowing and Seeing with regard to His servants' faults. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ âkÖãoâäÊÌáÇã ACáxáÊ CáÆ CáÏ×㶠âÐá CáËåÃáä`á® áUáÃã_Cá¯åÂB âkÖãoâÖ áÉCá¾ ÌáäÆ ý18þ BænÒâcåkáäÆ CæÆÒâÆåmáÆ CáÎÚå|áÖ áÈáäËáÏá_ âÐá CáËåÃá¯á_ áäÈâ[ [17:18] Whoever desires this present life, We hasten to him therein what We please for whomsoever We desire, then We assign to him the hell; he shall enter it despised, driven away. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ áÀãNáÂÑâGᶠçÌãÆåKâÆ áÒâÎáÑ CáÏá×å¯ás CáÏá Ôá¯ásáÑ áTáoãgÝB ájBánáF åÌáÆáÑý19þ BænÒâ¿åxáäÆ ÈâÏâ×å¯ás áÉCá¾ [17:19] And whoever desires the hereafter and strives for it as he ought to strive and he is a believer; (as for) these, their striving shall surely be accepted. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ ACá§á® áÉCá¾ CáÆáÑ áÀãäQán ACá§á® åÌãÆ AÙâK~áÎáÑ AÙâK~áÎ âäkãÇâäÊ æäÚâ¾ý20þ BænÒâ«ådáÆ áÀãäQán [17:20] All do We aid-- these as well as those-- out of the bounty of your Lord, and the bounty of your Lord is not confined. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ âoáRå¾áF âTáoãgÞáÂáÑ è¤å¯áQ ÔáÃá® åÈâÏá£å¯áQ CáËåÃáä£á¶ á¸å×á¾ åoâ«ÊBý21þ æÚ×ã£å·áW âoáRå¾áFáÑèVCá_ánáj [17:21] See how We have made some of them to excel others, and certainly the hereafter is much superior in respect of excellence.   23. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ ý22þ æÙÑâmåháäÆ CæÆÒâÆåmáÆ ákâ¯å»áXᶠáoágD CæÏ~áÂãH ãÐäÃÂB á°áÆ Äá¯å`áW áäÙ [17:22] Do not associate with Allah any other god, lest you sit down despised, neglected. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ CæÊCátåcãH ãÌåÖákãÂBáÒåÂCãQáÑ âÍCáäÖãH áäÙãH åBÑâkâRå¯áW áäÙáF áÀâäQán Ôá£áºáÑÄâ»áW áÚᶠCáÇâÎáÚã¾ åÑáF CáÇâÎâkácáF áoáRã¿åÂB á½ákËã® áäÌá³âÃåRáÖ CáäÆãHý23þ CæÇÖãoá¾ æÙåÒẠCáÇâÏáä ÄâºáÑ CáÇâÎåoáÏåËáW áÙáÑ èäµâF CáÇâÏáä [17:23] And your Lord has commanded that you shall not serve (any) but Him, and goodness to your parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, say not to them (so much as) "Ugh" nor chide them, and speak to them a generous word. Arabic text by DILP, Translation by M. H. Shakir. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ âÐáäÊãIᶠáÌ×ãdãÂCá{ åBÒâÊÒâ¿áW ÉãH åÈâ¿ãsÒâ·âÊ Ø㶠CáÇãQ âÈáÃå®áF åÈâ¿âäQáäný25þ BænÒâ·á² áÌ×ãQBáäÑáÜã áÉCá¾ [17:25] Your Lord knows best what is in your minds; if you are good, then He is surely Forgiving to those who turn (to Him) frequently. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ ãÄ×ãRáätÂB áÌåQBáÑ áÌ×ã¿åtãÇåÂBáÑ âÐáä»ác ÔáQåoâ»åÂB Bál ãVDáÑý26þ BæoÖãmåRáWånãämáRâW áÙáÑ [17:26] And give to the near of kin his due and (to) the needy and the wayfarer, and do not squander wastefully. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ âÉCá§å×áäxÂB áÉCá¾áÑ ãÌ×ã¦Cá×áäxÂB áÉBáÒågãH åBÒâÊCá¾ áÌÖãnãämáRâÇåÂB áäÉãHý27þ BænÒâ·á¾ ãÐãäQáoã [17:27] Surely the squanderers are the fellows of the Shaitans and the Shaitan is ever ungrateful to his Lord. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ CáÎÒâ_åoáW áÀãäQáän ÌãäÆ èUáÇåcán ACá³ãXåQB âÈâÏåËá® áäÌá¢ãoå¯âW CáäÆãHáÑý28þ BænÒâtå×áäÆ æÙåÒẠåÈâÏáä Äâ»á¶ [17:28] And if you turn away from them to seek mercy from your Lord, which you hope for, speak to them a gentle word. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ áäÄâ¾ CáÏå§âtåRáW áÙáÑ áÀã»âËâ® ÔáÂãH æUáÂÒâÃå³áÆ á½ákáÖ åÄá¯å`áW áÙáÑý29þ BænÒâtådáäÆ CæÆÒâÃáÆ ákâ¯å»áXᶠã¨åtáRåÂB [17:29] And do not make your hand to be shackled to your neck nor stretch it forth to the utmost (limit) of its stretching forth, lest you should (afterwards) sit down blamed, stripped off. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ áÉCá¾ âÐáäÊãH ânãkå»áÖáÑ ACáxáÖ ÌáÇã á¹åpãäoÂB â¨âtåRáÖ áÀáäQán áäÉãHý30þ Bæo×ã|áQ Bæo×ãRág ãÍãjCáRã¯ãQ [17:30] Surely your Lord makes plentiful the means of subsistence for whom He pleases and He straitens (them); surely He is ever Aware of, Seeing, His servants. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ Èâ¾CáäÖãHáÑ åÈâÏâºâpåoáÊ âÌådáäÊ è¹ÚåÆãH áUá×åxág åÈâ¾ájÙåÑáF åBÒâÃâXå»áW áÙáÑý31þ Bæo×ãRá¾ BæAå¨ãg áÉCá¾ åÈâÏáÃåXẠáäÉH [17:31] And do not kill your children for fear of poverty; We give them sustenance and yourselves (too); surely to kill them is a great wrong. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ ÌáÆáÑ ãä¼ádÂCãQ áäÙãH âÐäÃÂB áÅáäoác ØãXáäÂB áuå·áäËÂB åBÒâÃâXå»áW áÙáѵãoåtâÖ áÚᶠCæÊCá§åÃâs ãÐãä×ãÂáÒã CáËåÃá¯á_ åká»á¶ CæÆÒâÃå«áÆ áÄãXâºý33þ BænÒâ|åËáÆ áÉCá¾ âÐáäÊãH ãÄåXá»åÂB Øãä¶ [17:33] And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying; surely he is aided. Surah 17: Al-Israa’ á´âÃåRáÖÔáäXác âÌátåcáF áØãÎ ØãXáäÂCãQ áäÙãH ãÈ×ãXá×åÂB áÁCáÆ åBÒâQáoå»áW áÙáÑ ý34þ æÙÑâKåtáÆ áÉCá¾ ákåÏá¯åÂB áäÉãH ãkåÏá¯åÂCãQ åBÒâ¶åÑáFáÑ âÍáäkâwáF [17:34] And draw not near to the property of the orphan except in a goodly way till he attains his maturity and fulfill the promise; surely (every) promise shall be questioned about.
