SUPERVISED TEACHING PRACTICUM 50 hours direct supervision – • 30 hours Centre and 20 hours IET • Time spent with a supervisor observing your teaching practice • Meetings with supervisor to prepare for teaching session • Meetings with supervisors to debrief from supervised session • Time taken to reflect on and write a self-evaluation of the supervised session • Meetings with a supervisor where session plans are reviewed • Meetings with a supervisor where session evaluations are reviewed • Meetings with supervisors where student assessments are reviewed and moderated

SUPERVISED TEACHING PRACTICUM 50 hours other professional duties– • 30 Hours Centre and 20 hours IET Other professional duties includes: • Staff meetings • Quality meetings • Assessment review and moderation meetings • Meetings with students • Internal and external network meetings • Professional development activities • Attendance at conferences, seminars and industry briefings • Time spent developing resources and designing training programs • Time spent designing assessments and assessment tools • Time spent designing evaluation processes • Time spent preparing reports and other documentation as part of your teaching duties

SUPERVISED TEACHING PRACTICUM 50 hours other professional practice– • 30 hours Centre and 20 hours IET Other professional practice includes: • Observation of the teachers delivering the Dip VET Prac or Dip TAA • Observation of other candidate teachers delivering training sessions as part of the Dip VET Prac of Dip TAA program • Observation of teachers conducting training in TAFE based classrooms, workshops or in industry training rooms • Observation of teachers conducting training online • Observation of teachers working with individuals in a coaching or instructing role • Presentations at staff development and conferences • Observation of teachers managing distance-based learners • Observation of teachers conducting meetings and negotiating with clients about training programs.

SUPERVISED TEACHING PRACTICUM Other professional practice includes (contd): • Observations of teachers conducting practical assessments or assessment interviews • Observations of teachers conducting interviews with students • Observation of teachers facilitating action-learning groups when they are part of a learning program • Time taken to reflect on and write up evaluations of observations 50 hours other professional activities– • 30 Hours Centre and 20 hours IET Other professional activities includes: • 50 hours of other activities which may involve further directly supervised teaching practices or further teaching observations or participation in other professional teaching activities, includes all of the previous lists
