  1. The Importance of Staying Hydrated in Sports

  2. Introduction • Sports and exercise can really drain you • Why? • You lose water as you sweat • You don’t even know that you are de-hydrated • Focus too much on the event at hand • Dehydration has significant health hazards • There are simple guidelines to follow

  3. How De-Hydration Works • Your body loses fluids and needs to replace them • When you sweat: • exhaustion • cramps • headaches • That is your body’s way of telling you that you need more fluids

  4. Athletes Exercise Caution • Athletes playing sports and not using personalized water bottles to replenish their fluids are at risk: • Excessive sweating • Playing in hot, humid, or dry weather • Our bodies are mostly made of water, therefore it is necessary to use something like custom water bottles to hydrate

  5. Quick Tips • Drink 8 to 10 ounces of water before exercising • Drink while exercising by having customized water bottles within easy reach • Don’t exercise for more than an hour straight. Take breaks in between to replenish fluids and electrolytes

  6. Symptoms of De-Hydration • Look for these chronic symptoms: • Headaches • Dry mouth • Unable to urinate • Dark urine • Dizziness or lightheadedness

  7. Conclusion • Stay hydrated with personalized water bottles the next time you play sports • Pay attention to your body
