Password Guidelines • Three unique passwords required for the VPN, server, and CAREWare • Minimum length of all passwords is 8 characters; passwords must contain: • At least one number, AND • At least one special character (!, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *) • Passwords must not be disclosed to anyone • Passwords may be written down if they are kept in a secure space (e.g., locked office or locked drawer) • All three passwords must be changed every 120 days • Idle user time-out for CAREWare is 30minutes • Idle user time-out for the WinSCPand server is also 30minutes • Accounts will be locked after 5 consecutive, unsuccessful login attempts • Contact the MN CAREWare Help Desk if you get locked out or forget your password
