  2. ICRI News - background During the last ICRI General Meeting (TCI, November 2003), a small working group (A. Paterson, R. Baldi, F. Staub ) was formed to investigate the feasibility of producing an ICRI Newsletter. ICRI General Meeting - Okinawa, Japan, 3-4th July 2004 - 4.2 - ICRI News - the ICRI Newsletter

ICRI News • ICRI News • To be published quarterly with some special issues if needed. • Send the table of contents by email and have the newsletter available in two formats (HTML and PDF) on the ICRIForum (www.icriforum.org).   4. ICRI News The following table of contents was adopted: • ICRI Secretariat News • A special feature • Country report • ICRIForum news • Coral reef news / stories • Upcoming events ICRI General Meeting - Okinawa, Japan, 3-4th July 2004 - 4.2 - ICRI News - the ICRI Newsletter

ICRI News • The first ICRI News was released in March 2004 (the special feature was on coral reef monitoring and the country report was from the Netherlands Antilles). • The second was just released (June 2004) with a special feature on coral reef resilience and response bleaching, and a country report from Japan. ICRI News • It was sent to all the ICRIForum Members, the Coral list, the Caribbean coral reefs mailing list, to the World Bank ICZM mailing list, to all the NOAA staff. • Several partner’s web sites have linked to the ICRI newsletter such as ICRAN, ICRIN, IUCN.
