  3. The Guide • “Bibliographic collection [books] from major publishers in computing with over 945,000 entries.” • Check the Library Catalog, MOBIUS, ebrary, & ILL to obtain copies.

  4. Searching the Digital Library • Simple interface for searching • Use QUOTATION MARKS for phrases • Do not use Boolean operators—it ANDS all terms • DOES NOT support OR searches

  7. Learn about a Journal—Is it Peer Reviewed? • Learn about the Journal • Go to the Library Home Page (www.nwmissouri.edu/library) • Click Search for Articles

  12. Learn about a Journal—Is it Peer Reviewed? Click on the title of the periodical to view the record.

  13. Document Type tells you if it is a scholarly journal. Refereed indicates if it is peer reviewed.

  14. Other suggested searches • “human computer interaction” research 7,831 results • “user interfaces” advances 3,299 results

  15. Additional Ways to Locate Articles • Change Sort results to publication date • Go to Google (www.google.com) • Copy the title of article and place it in quotation marks. Click Search. You may bring up a copy of the article • You can search Google Scholar in the same way. The contents of ACM are indexed in Google Scholar.
