  1. How Effective is PRP Treatment? PRP treatment is considered to promote cell regeneration since many years. The growing evidence and better researchers in the field have established the treatment is suitable for tendinitis. Until recently, no one had talked of platelet-rich-plasma injections as an effective treatment for osteoarthritis. This is the reason that a growing number of people are moving towards PRP injections to treat a wide list of orthopedic conditions. Most commonly PRP treatment has been found effective in knee arthritis but it may be helpful in other conditions as well. When the purpose of PRP injections is to treat osteoarthritis, the doctor injects the injection directly into the affected joint with the aim to improve joint function, reduce pain in that area and to slow down or even repair the damage to cartilage. The platelet-rich plasma is derived from a sample of patient’s own blood; the injections which are injected into the body contain plasma having a high concentration of platelets than the normal blood. There are several reasons why osteoarthritis patients must consider platelet-rich plasma injections for Effective PRP Arthritis. These are: PRP is antilogous, means it is taken from patient’s own body so it is natural and the risks associated with it are few. Other methods used for treating mild to moderate osteoarthritis are unreliable and their impact can vary from person to person. Cortisone injections have found to be effective in reducing osteoarthritis pain but prolonged use can weaken the ligaments and tendons over a period of time. The anti-inflammatory medicines such as Ibuprofen and aspirin reduce the pain, but long-term use can lead to stomach and heart problems.
