Course objectives • Be able to understand, what is the difference between database & file based system. • Be able to understand the database concepts. • Be able to understand the objective of DBMS and its uses. • Be able to understand the normalization • Be able to build Databases and manage it using Oracle.

  4. Resources • Fundamental of database systems, elmasri and Navathe. • Slide of the text book. • Oracle’s slides of SQL part • Notes of lectures

  5. Assessment • 40 % : Final Exam • 20%: Mid • 10%: practical • 10 %: Projects • 10%: Home works & Quizzes • 10%: absent and activity
