A programme that feels and acts local at all times • At least a 10 year programme • Resident-driven • Builds on local talents and aspirations • Better places to live now and in the future • Not just a grants programme – money can be used for social investments (loans), buying specialists services or grants

  5. pathway Each area follows the Big Local pathway, developing a unique programme of activity to achieve Big Local outcomes: • Getting people involved • Exploring your Big Local vision • Forming your Big Local partnership • Creating a Big Local plan • Delivering your Big Local plan • Collecting the evidence • Reviewing your Big Local plan and partnership

  6. pathway • Getting people involved • Spreading the word about Big Local • Residents know how they can get involved • Find organisations and local businesses that might want to be involved • Getting people involved in an ongoing activity throughout Big Local

What happens next? • Find people to get involved and spread the word • ‘Getting People Involved’ funding programme (£20,000 for your area to do this work) • Your area has identified a trusted local organisation to hold the funding (Fratton Community Association) and has a Steering Group • Your area continues its journey along the Big Local pathway

  10. We need to be forward-thinking, creative and positive and: • respect that there may be different views and opinions in the area • re-imagine how the area could be in the future • recognise and build on the positive things that already exist • reflect the views of different communities within the area. • What are you most proud of in your area? • What could make your area even better?
