  2. Welcome to the Farm! There is work to be done!  But first here are some questions you should keep in mind while you are reading or listening to the book, Click, Clack, Moo Cows That Type By: Doreen Cronin. When you first pick up a book, do you look at the cover to see what the book might be about? When you look at Click, Clack, Moo Cows That Type… • Do you think that the cows will actually be • typing?  • Once you’ve f inished reading a book do you think • back to see if your predictions were right? Now that you have a few things to think about go to the next page to get started.

  3. Task 1 • Using your prior knowledge about prediction and the cover of Click, Clack, Moo CowsThat Type make a preview card. (the cards can be found next to your computer) • On this card you and your partner both will draw • what you predict will happen in the story on one • side of your cards. • On the back list three events you think will take • place. • Keep your cards handy you will need them to complete Task 2.

  4. Task 2 • To begin this task lay your card in front of you. You will be checking to see if your predictions were correct. If they are, place a check by them as you read the story.   6. Task 3 Once you have read a story it is always good to go back and take a look at the key words. Doing this can help you to better understand the story. 1. Look through the book with your partner and find 10 key words. 2. Go to the website listed below. 3. Click “GO” and follow the 3 simple steps to make your own word search.   7. Task 4 Now that you know the true ending of Click, Clack Moo Cows That Type, I would like for you to write an alternate one. Please return to your seats and in a brief paragraph (3 to 4 sentences) tell me what you would have done differently than Farmer Brown and why.
