  1. VIBRO WIND

  2. No Turbine? Vibro-Wind models harness energy through the oscillation of foam pads. ZMGould-Youtube Vibro-Wind makes it possible to harness wind energy without the use of a turbine.

  3. How Does it Work? As the foam pads wobble, their vibrations are transferred to piezoelectric transducers, producing energy. (Alternately, some scientists are working with electromagnetic coils.)

  5. Why Use Vibro-Wind? Vibro-Wind, in many ways, is better than turbine-based wind power. The advantages to using Vibro-Wind include: • No land displacement (due to its ability to be mounted on the side of buildings, likely in urban areas) • It’s cost efficiency • Less noise • Less danger to animals (such as birds and bats) • Smaller size (less material investment cost)
