  2. Symbols & Special Characters 52 Position the insertion point. Click the Symbols command to display a gallery of symbols. If necessary, click More Symbols to display the Symbols dialog box. To insert symbols: Symbols command Gallery of symbols More Symbols

  5. Office Clipboard 52 On the Home tab, click the Dialog Box Launcher to display the Clipboard task pane. To paste an item, click the item you want to paste; click the down arrow and select Paste. To use the Clipboard: Clipboard Dialog Box Launcher Click down arrow and Paste Click the item to paste

  6. Paste Options Button 52 Point the mouse at the Paste Options button; then select the down arrow. Select the desired option. To use the Paste option: Paste Options button Click to use same format as original document Click to use same format as new document

  7. Drag & Drop Editing 52 To move copy - select the text, hold down the left mouse button, and drag the text to the desired location. To copy text - hold down the left mouse button and the CTRL key, and drag the text to the desired location. Rectangle indicates copy is being moved. Plus sign indicates text is being copied.

  8. Find & Replace 52 Click Find and key the text you wish to locate in the Find what box. Click Find Next to find the next occurrence of the text. To find text: Finds items in a document Replaces items in a document Find tab Find what box Find Next

  9. Find & Replace Text (continued) 52 Click Replace and key the text to locate in the Find what box. Key the replacement text in the Replace with box. Click Find Next to find the next occurrence; then click Replace (single occurrence) or Replace All (all occurrences). To replace text: Replace tab Find what box Replace & Replace All Replace with box

  10. Customize Quick Access Toolbar 52 On the Quick Access toolbar, click the down arrow to display the Customize Quick Access Toolbar dialog box. Click the desired command that you wish to add to the Quick Access toolbar. Save, Undo, and Redo are on the toolbar by default. Check the items you wish to add to the toolbar.

  11. Thesaurus 52 Position the insertion point in the word you wish to replace. In the Proofing group on the Review tab, click Thesaurus. In the Research task pane, hold the mouse over the appropriate word, click the down arrow, and then click Insert. To use the Thesaurus: Thesaurus button Research task pane
