  6. COURSEREQUIREMENTS • regular attendance (6 absences allowed) • bringing RB and coursebook to class • active participation • preparing and role-playing a business meeting • two progress tests and/or exam

  8. FINAL GRADE • based on continuous assessment • two preliminary tests/finalwrittenexam business meeting • oral exam* • * studentsaspiring to grade A are expected to readandbeabletodiscuss all ofthematerialinrequired literature

WRITTEN EXAM • recognition of business terms and concepts • active use of collocations, key vocabulary • reading comprehension • graph description • business report • ORAL EXAM • speaking skills: coherent presentation and discussion of a business topic using relevant specialist vocabulary • fluency/accuracy (→B2)

  10. USEFUL TIPS • study continually throughout the semester • plan ahead (PTs) • contact the student tutor if you have problems with reading/understanding texts

IF READING IS DIFFICULT: • read the text to understand it in Croatian • retell the text in Croatian • translate the whole text into Croatian sentence by sentence • identifycollocations, key business terms in each sentence • find definitions for business terms • make a list of collocations for each text you read • do vocabulary tasks before or after the text • prepare a text following the tips above and contact the teacher / student tutor to arrange a study feedback session
