  3. Greatest Contributions • Maxwell was best known for his kinetic theory of gases and his work on light.

  4. Electromagnetism • Maxwell worked on electromagnetism, electricity, and electromagnet waves.

  5. The Principles • He figured out and demonstrated the principles governing color, color vision, and how eyes work.

  6. Space Rings • Maxell hypothesized that Saturn’s rings were made of smaller particles.
