  2. VISSION • MITT aims at providing a standard ICT and stimulating learning environment at UNN through e-learning as one of the broad objectives of the NUC in the country’s educational sector, more so as its necessity can’t be over emphasized in this Information and Technology driven age.

  3. MITT Process Flow Invitation from Faculties for Registration • NO NO YES YES Stop Training Time Table Upload Names and Write MITT Exams Students’ Enrollment and Training Collect MITT Certificate Up to 80% Attendance ? Exam Status Pass, Fail ?

  4. 2016 Mile’s Stone • Embarking on 100% E-learning, starting with this current 100 level students using the Modular Oriented Development Learning Environment (MOODLE) as a medium, this is to start immediately the students return from their Easter holiday. • Accrediting MITT with Credit Unit(s) • Additional well equipped lecture halls, one at ICT/Innovation Centre and the PTDF building close to the Faculty of Arts Building.

  5. SWOT • Strength: At this juncture MITT must declare that to all and sundry that these mile’s stone so far was achieved by the full support of the Director ICT/Innovation Centre UNN. He has actually convinced us beyond reasonable doubts that he will make MITT an enviable icon of emulation not just in UNN but in Nigerian universities comparably. • Additional Courses: Three more additional packages to the one package formally handled

  6. SWOT Contd. • Weakness: MITT’s strongest weakness presently is the Accrediting of unit load(s) to the course which of course we hopefully believe will be soon arrested by our incumbent director. • Dearth of Staff: MITT is in dire need of staff, both tutorial and clerical staff. • Required teaching and working materials

  7. Other Threats • Power Issue: Since MITT is supposed to be 100% on line teaching/learning’ power unreliability poses a very big obstruction to the smooth running of the program • Network: This is a twin brother to the above issue. For the program to attain it’s satisfied height of stability, we need a 24/7 network.

  8. Way Forward • 1 Helping the school to maintain an enviable ranking position not just in Nigeria, but in Africa and the world at large • 2 Produce graduates that are fully ICT compliant with various computer packages regards to their different fields of learning • 3. Give the students the opportunity of writing some certification exams in some IT professional exams, like AutoCad, CISCO, Microsoft suite Packages, etc.

  9. Appreciation • Thanks for your wonderful audience! Bye! Bye!! Have a Fulfilled Day
