  5. Matthew • 7 years old • Interests: • TRAINS!!! • Playing with big brother and sister • Cars • I miss some school days because Matthew has inoperable, terminal brain cancer.

  7. Holly! • Matthew’s new service dog in training. • She is a new addition to our family as of June 2019.

  8. My Life • Graduated from Tahoma High School in 1999. Maple Valley, Washington • Whatcom Community College for 1 yr. In Bellingham, Washington • Bellevue Community College for 1 yr. in Bellevue, Washington • AA Degree • Study Abroad in Paris, France for 3 months.

  9. My Life continued • University of Washington for 1 yr. • Flunked out • Focused on professional career at Safeway. • Youngest Assistant Store Manager in Seattle Area • Stepped down to go back to school to finish my BA degree and teach.

  10. My Life continued • Central Washington University • 105 credits in 5 academic quarters • Average is about 60 credits in that time. • All the while working full time at night. • Student taught at Mountlake Terrace High School, just north of Seattle

  11. My Life continued • Hired at Mountlake Terrace High School in August of 2007. Taught there for three years. • Then taught Middle School at Hood Canal School for four years. • I have taught 5 years at PCHS. • This is my 13th year teaching. • I’ve taught every grade 6-12 except 11th. • Finished Masters Degree in Education in August of 2009 at the University of Washington. • Finished National Board of Professional Teaching Standards Certified Teacher in Early Adolescence Social Studies in 2014.

Hobbies • Golf • I coached high school girls golf for three years. • Football • I love to watch it and I’ve coached it before at middle school. • Basketball • I coached high school & middle school boys and girls. • I am a huge Washington Husky football & basketball fan. Go Dawgs! • I am a huge Seahawks fan. Go Hawks! • I am a huge Mariners fan. Go Ms! • I was a huge Seattle Supersonics fan. Go Sonics! Bring them back! • I love movies • When I have time • Music • Gungor, Rend Collective, Jars of Clay, Third Day and David Crowder are a few of my favorites. • My wife and I used to lead a youth group back in Washington before moving.
