Provisional Advance Authorisation is applicable for Major works and those works that require a Traffic Regulation Order

EXAMPLE 1 :Major Works undertaken on 0-2 Traffic Sensitive roads will have both provisional advance authorisation fee & Major activity permit fee i.e. £105 + £240 = £345

EXAMPLE 2: Minor works undertaken on 0-2 Traffic sensitive roads and require a Traffic Regulation Order will have both provisional advance authorisation fee & Major activity permit fee i.e. £105 + £240 = £345

  • Timelines for HA Consultation with the Promoters (6-8 weeks?)

  • HA Progress/Intentions towards Permit implementation timeline; DfT/Government pressure possibly!!!

  • Timing for Permit fee payment i.e. upfront payment, monthly invoice, upon work completion etc

  • Refund policy for

    • Work Cancellation after the Permit fee is paid

    • Permits that are deemed granted, if authority fails to respond within timescales

    • Activities that move to lower fee category

  • Discount Policy for collaborative working – minimum of 30%

  • Varied level of conditions that an authority may impose for works on Permit streets
