The United States, Liberia and Burma are the only countries that have not switched to the Metric System.

  • The United States, Liberia and Burma are the only countries who have not switched to the Metric System. Considering that 85% of Liberia’s mere 3.7 million people live below the poverty level, and Burma is best know for its severe human rights violations, including human trafficking, genocide, and forcing children to be soldiers, the United States stands in unity with countries who for all intensive purposes are neither economically nor socially safe and sound. It is as if the U.S. is choosing to live in the dark ages, or at least an age consumed in poverty and abuse.
