  2. What are source cards? • Basically, source cards are really just index cards. • They are used to document all of the information that you will need to write your research paper.

  3. Why do you need them? • They help you: • Identify the sources from which your quotes came from, so you can properly cite them later • Help find those sources later • Make your works cited list

  4. How do you use them? • Only use 1 source card per source • You will code each source with its own # • You will later link those source cards with your actual notes

  5. As you go along… • Reference a MLA Works Cited example sheet so you know what information you should be writing down eachtime • One can be accessed here:
