Leviticus 26V3-4 ‘If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands,I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. v6 I will grant peace in the land, and you will lie down and no one will make you afraid. V7 You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you.

After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel. 11 Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord and served the Baals. 12 They forsook the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods of the peoples around them. They aroused the Lord’s anger 13 because they forsook him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths. Judges 2:10-13

  9. In his anger against Israel the Lord gave them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist. 15 Whenever Israel went out to fight, the hand of the Lord was against them to defeat them, just as he had sworn to them. They were in great distress.Judges 2:14

  11. Gideon’s ‘peace’ of heart and confidence didn’t come through a change in circumstance – they hadn’t changed yet, but through the presence and promises of the Lord.

  13. The peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.“ Philippians 4:7

  14. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God) take it to the Lord, let him know about it. Philippians 4:6

  15. ‘Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you’!Philippians 4:9
