  3. What is Algebra 2 all about? Money is borrowed at 12% simple interest. After 1 year, $896 pays off the loan. How much was originally borrowed? An appliance store drops the price of a certain type of TV 18% to a sale price of $410. What was the original price? A car rents for $23.95 per day, plus 10¢ per mile. You are on a daily budget of $76.00. Within what mileage must you stay to remain within budget? On your new job, you can be paid in one of two ways: Plan A: A salary of $500 per month plus a commission of 4% of total sales Plan B: A salary of $750 per month plus a commission of 5% of total sales For what amount of total sales is Plan B better than Plan A, assuming that total sales are always more than $8000?
