  3. How Big My Animal Is • Size: 4.5 to 7 feet long, with a tail that is 5 to 8 inches long. Mule Deer weigh between 130 and 280 pounds.

  4. Baby Information • Babies: Mule deer females usually give birth to two fawns; although if it is their first time having a baby then they often only have one fawn.

  5. Interesting Fact # 1 • Mule deer do not have upper teeth, only a hard palate at the roof of their mouth.

  6. Interesting Fact # 2 • Mule deer are grayish brown in color and have a white rump patch and a small white tail with a black tip.

  7. Interesting Fact # 3 • Mule deer are not picky about where they sleep.
