Unit Portfolio Presentation
Students will have eight weeks to write a short story for a child in the 2nd grade. Students must use the child as the main character and create a plot that the child has requested. The language in the story must be appropriate to children’s literature. Students must use at least one work of art that their specific child has created and develop his or her own artwork to fill the other pages of the short story. Students must use a scanner, computer, and a binder to publish his or her short story. At the end of this unit, the students will present his or her short story orally to their specific child.
