  2. Biography • He was a farmer's son from Ayrshire in Scotland • He moved to London at 13 and later trained as a doctor • In 1928 Fleming was research assistant

  3. Work • He was working with bacterias • He accidentaly discovered a mould • The mould was penicillin • Fleming has discovered the first antibiotic • he got the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1945

  4. The present • His discovery of penicillin had changed the world • Penicillin has saved, and is still saving, millions of people’s lifes around the world • But Penicillin could be produced as a drug
