  2. Conversation 1 Kate: Hey Tina.Tina: Hello Kate.Kate: I heard that you and Bill are dating. Is that true? Tina: Well, we have been out a few times.Kate: Good for you. Are you getting more serious? Tina: We spoke last night and we decided we want to go slow. Kate: That’s smart. Tina: I agree. He just had a bad breakup with a girl he dated for a long time so he wants to take things slow. Kate: I forgot he was dating someone. What was her name? Tina: Jenny. Kate: Oh yeah. I heard that was a messy breakup.

  3. Tina: I don’t know the details but I’m just glad it’s over. Kate: Bill is a great guy. You are lucky. Tina: Thanks. What about you? How are things with Tom? Kate: Things are good. We have been dating for six months now. Tina: So things are getting pretty serious? Kate: Yes. You could say that. Tina: Wonderful! Well, do you have plans this weekend? Kate: Not yet. Tina: You and Bill should come on a double date with me and Tom.Kate: That would be fun. What are your plans? Tina: We are going to get dinner and go to a movie. Kate: Okay! I’ll talk to Bill about it and let you know. Tina: Alright, see you later.Kate: Bye.

  4. Conversation 2 Paula: Hey Kimberly. What’s wrong? Gina told me you wanted to talk to me about something. Kimberly: Yes and I’m sure you know what it’s about. Paula: Honestly no, please tell me. Kimberly: It’s about you and Jake. Paula: What about us? Kimberly: Stop pretending Paula. Someone saw the two of you at the movies yesterday. Paula: Yes we were, so? Kimberly: What’s going on between the two of you? Paula: Nothing we’re just friends. Kimberly: I don’t think so, you better tell me! Paula: I know Jake’s your ex. I would never date him.

  5. Kimberly: So how come you didn’t tell us about the movie you were going for with him? Paula: I knew you’d be upset if I told you, so I decided not to. Kimberly: If you knew I would be upset then why did you go with him in the first place?And I’m sure you have a perfect excuse for not telling us that you both went clubbing together too on Saturday night? Paula: Okay fine, we like each other, but why do you have to get so upset. You were the one who broke up with him. Kimberly: I knew it. I just can’t believe you. Paula: Maybe your problem is that you still have feelings for him. But it’s too late now. He’s with me. Kimberly: I knew I could never trust you. I don’t ever want to talk to you again. Paula: Fine with me!!

  6. Conversation 3 Mary: Hey Jane. Jane: Hello Mary.Mary: I told you about that boy I fell in love with.Jane: Yes, what’s his name. Mary: You know Jerome from the gym.Jane: Yes. Mary: It’s him!!Jane: Really? Mary: Yes, he’s so sweet and he loves me a lot. And I think we make the perfect coupleJane: But what about his looks? Mary: I know he’s a bit short, but otherwise he looks pretty good.

  7. Jane: I don’t think so, what about all those marks on his face? And his teeth; he wears braces you know. Mary: So what? I still think he looks good! Jane: And not to forget, he has a pathetic sense of dressing. Mary: What do you mean?Jane: Well, the other day he came to the gym wearing an orange t-shirt, with pink shorts. Mary: I can change that, I will pick out his clothes from now. Jane: Yes maybe that might help. Anyway, I’m glad you found someone who makes you happy! Mary: Yes and Jerome is really funny too! He keeps cracking jokes and making me laugh. Jane: Great! It’s always nice to have someone who can make you laugh! Mary: We’re meeting up now. Would you like to come? Jane: Sure! Let’s go!
