  2. First Battle of Manassas The Battle of Manassas was fought in July 21, 1861. The location was at Fairfax and Prince William County, Virginia.

  3. First battle of Manassas On July 21, 1861, the Union soldiers marched forward to attack the rebel force. They marched by and crossed them at Sudley Springs River.

  4. The first battle of Manassas The general for the Union army was Irvin McDowell. The general for the Confederate Army was Joseph E. Johnston & P.G.T. Beauregard.

  5. First battle of Manassas Commander P.G.T Beauregard marched 32,500 soldiers on the battle field.

  6. First Battle of Manassas General Irvin McDowell’s army crumpled and retreated at the beginning of the battle. They yelled like furriers back to the North.
