  2. MAAC Institutions Attachment 6 Canisius College Located in Buffalo, New York, Canisius joined the MAAC in 1989. Canisius was a charter member of the MAAC Lacrosse League in 1996. Manhattan College Located in Riverdale (Bronx), New York, Manhattan is a founding member of the MAAC in 1980 and a charter member of the MAAC Lacrosse League in 1996. Marist College Located in Poughkeepsie, New York, Marist joined the MAAC in 1997. Marist was a charter member of the MAAC Lacrosse League (as an associate member) in 1996. Siena College Located in Loudonville, New York, Siena joined the MAAC in 1989. Siena was a charter member of the MAAC Lacrosse League in 1996.

  3. Associate Member Institutions Attachment 6 University of Detroit Mercy Located in Detroit, Michigan, Detroit Mercy joined the MAAC Lacrosse League as an associate member in 2009-2010. Virginia Military Institute Located in Lexington, Virginia, VMI joined the MAAC Lacrosse League as an associate member in 2002-2003.

Schedule Overview Attachment 6 Regular Season Schedule League games are played in a round-robin format (home/away sites alternate by year) on Saturdays in the weeks leading up to the championship. For example, if there are six teams in the league, league games would be played on the five Saturdays prior to the championship. (No games are scheduled on Easter weekend – if Easter falls within the league schedule, that weekend is skipped in the schedule and league play will begin one weekend earlier. Championship Schedule The league championship is played in a Friday-Sunday format, with the top four teams in the league (based on regular-season finish) participating. The two semi-final games are played on Friday, with the winners advancing to the championship on Sunday. All games are played at a single site; the host is determined by a bid process approximately 18 months prior to the event.

Schedule Overview Attachment 6 • 2011 Schedule prototype • Championship – May 6-8, 2011 • Regular season games on the following dates: • March 26, 2011 • April 2, 2011 • April 9, 2011 • April 16, 2011 • April 23, 2011 – Easter weekend, no games scheduled • April 30, 2011 • Additional members • If additional associate members are added, additional game days will be added to the league regular season schedule. The format would depend on the total number of teams in the league, and could include play on Easter weekend or the addition of mid-week dates. Also, if the total number of teams is an odd number, each team would have a bye on one of the game dates.

  8. MAAC Constitution – Associate Members Attachment 6 Constitution of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Section 5.4 – Associate Member. A.  The Council of Presidents may grant, on an annual basis, Associate Membership status to an institution that has classified its athletics program as Division I within the NCAA structure.   The purpose of such membership is to permit the institution to participate in specific sports conducted under the auspices of the Conferences. B.  When a college or university accepts Associate Membership status offered by the Conference, it agrees to be subject to and abide by the Conference Code and all subsequent amendments thereto and rules and regulations of the Conference. C.  The annual membership dues for an Associate Member shall be determined by the Council of Presidents and may be changed from year to year. D. An Associate Member shall designate appropriate representatives, as required by the Conference Code, to attend and participate on the Council of Presidents, Policy Committee, and Committee on Athletic Administration, however, such representatives will serve in an ex-officio capacity without entitlement to vote, except with respect to those issues which affect the sport(s) for which the Associate Membership was granted. The determination as to which issues an Associate Member may vote shall be in the sole discretion of the Chair of each committee and shall not be appealed. E.  An Associate Member shall designate appropriate representatives, as required by the Conference Code, to attend and participate on the sport committee(s) for the sport(s) in which it will participate as part of the Conference. Such representatives will serve as full participants with the right to vote. F.  Associate Membership status may be revoked on notice to the college or university at any time in the sole discretion of the Council of Presidents. Revocation will be effective at the end of any particular sport season for which Associate Membership was granted. This decision can not be appealed. G.  An Associate Member shall share in the distribution of only those revenues generated by the sport(s) in which it participates in as an Associate Member of the Conference. The revenues shall be applied, used and distributed in accordance with Article III of the Bylaws. Section 10.2 – Associate Member Assessments. Associate members will be assessed a 50% overhead charge which will be divided equally between the associate members of the league.
