  2. Organisational Structure, etc. • In Question 2 (a), schematically show, the organogram of your MDA which gives an overview of its macro or super structure in terms of the first level of report. (See Fig 1, for example) • In Question 2 (c), briefly state what changes, if any, you have made to the organogram recently and why • In Question 2 (c), list the departments, agencies or parastatals supervised by your Ministry (where applicable)

  4. Relevant Legislation • In Question 3, list the various legislation relevant to the mandates of your MDA using the table provided ; attach copies of those sections (or abridged versions, indicating references to original sources) which stipulate its mandates, functions or powers. • For a Ministry, if applicable, include legislation regarding the mandates of extra-ministerial departments, agencies or parastals under your Ministry’s supervision.

  5. Basic Mandates • In Question 4, list your core mandate(s). • Why does your MDA exist? To do what? For Whom? • What are its key deliverables or obligations to the people of Kano State?

  6. Key Functions • In Question 5, list the Functions of your MDA which when performed help it deliver/fulfill its mandate(s). • Focus on those functions which are a service to the public or another MDA, not your internal functions.

  7. Mandates at Local Governments’ Level • In Question 6, regarding the mandates/core functions listed earlier, state any aspects which are: • delegated to, or undertaken at, Local Governments; or • split between the Kano State Government and the Local Governments.

  8. Overlapping Mandates / Functions • In Question 7, regarding your current mandates/core functions, state the overlaps with another MDA (s) which you are aware of.

  9. Request on Transfer of Mandates/Functions • In Question 8, list the mandates/core functions you believe should be undertaken in your MDA but presently are not. • In Question 9, list the mandates/core functions you believe should be undertaken by some MDAs other than yours.

  10. Suggestions on Mandates Streamlining • In Question 10, state: • key issues, observations or suggestions you have regarding clarification, alignment or streamlining of mandates of MDAs in Kano State • as they relate to your MDA, the sector in which you operate or other MDAs/sectors
