Arrival • 7:15 Building opens • 7:30 – 7:40 All kinder students will wait in the gym. • 7:40 Teachers pick up the children from the gym. • 7:40 – 7:50 Students may walk directly to the classroom. • Strollers are not allowed in the building during arrival due to crowding and fire safety concerns.

  4. Dismissal – Sibling Pick-Up • Your child’s older sibling(s) will be dismissed to your kindergarten child’s classroom. • We will meet you on the La Mesa side of the building under the covered walkway. • Please notify the office if a ‘sibling’ will be absent from school and plans for pick-up change.

  5. Dismissal - Carpool • We will meet you on the La Mesa side of the building. • We will be lined up by class under the covered walkway. • Children will placed in the car on the passenger side only. • Please do not get out of your car. This will help us keep the line moving as quickly as possible.

  6. Dismissal – General Information • Please be patient! Your child’s safety is our primary concern. The carpool lines will move faster after the first couple weeks of school – we promise! • Please do not block the sidewalks with bicycles and strollers. • Each child must give his/her teacher their popsicle stick/password/card before he/she leaves campus. • Dogs are not allowed on campus so please leave your four-legged friends at home.

  8. Afternoon Schedule • 11:00 – 11:15 DEAR Time • 11:15 - 12:30 Literacy/Phonemic Awareness/Word Work • 12:30 – 1:00 Science • 1:00 - 1:50 CAMP • 1:50 - 2:10Snack/Handwriting • 2:10 – 2:40 Prescriptive Tutoring/ Enrichment • 2:40 - 2:50 Clean up/ Reflection • 2:50 Dismissal

  9. Recess10:00 – 10:30 • Fisher Fitness: 5 minute walk before free play • Weather: “Red/Orange” Ozone Days (either indoor recess or reduced number of minutes outside) • Hand sanitizers

  10. Lunch10:30 – 11:00 Café: Set up an online account through Paypams. Visit the Frisco ISD website for more information. Restrictions may be placed on the account. Lunches from home: Please remember to pack utensils, straws and napkins for your child. Please bring lunch from home the 1st week! Visitors: Feel free to join your child for lunch (We would like to ask that you wait until after the first 2 weeks). • FINAL CHOICE (OUR EXPECTATIONS FOR A HEALTHY LUNCH…)

  11. C.A.M.P.1:00 – 1:50Day 6 will be different this year COMPUTER ART MUSIC P.E.

SNACK • Please send in 1 ‘healthy’, easy to open snack each day (examples: apple, banana, 100 Calorie snack packs, String cheese, crackers). • Please do not send in snacks that require a spoon or contain liquid (fruit cups/yogurt). • It is district policy that we are not allowed to provide your child with a snack if they happen to forget. • Water fountains in room or bring water bottle with POP TOP!!!

  13. Rest Time • There will not be a rest or nap time in Kindergarten. • During the first few weeks of school we may have a few minutes of quiet time until the children adjust to being in school all day for the entire week.

  14. Daily Binders Please check your child’s Daily Binder every night and return to school the next day.

  15. Birthdays We can have a very simple and quick birthday celebration at the end of the day (around 2:20) which usually lasts no more than 10 minutes.  The celebration is for your child and their kindergarten friends so we ask that you make other arrangements for younger siblings. Option 1: You are welcome to send in pre-packaged snacks, but not drinks. (Little Debbie cakes, 100 calories cookie packs, rice krispie treats are just a few examples.) Option 2: You may donate a book to the library in your child’s name.  You can contact our librarian, Mrs. Honaker, for more information (honakerp@friscoisd.org)

Volunteer at Fisher • Volunteer Information Background Check • Go to www.friscoisd.org • Click on Back to School Tab and choose Student Forms • Click on Community Service and Volunteer Application • Click on Access FISD Parent Application Online • Fill out Online Application • Must be completed every year.

  21. Visitor/Volunteer Check-in • All visitors and volunteers must scan their driver’s license in the office (for your first check in only).

  22. Upcoming Dates • Sept. 1 - Curriculum Night (K-2) 5:30 – 6:15 pm • Sept. 5 – No School(Labor Day) • October 10 – Parent/Teacher Conferences(No school for the students)

  23. BOO HOO – YAHOO!! Whether you are reaching for Kleenex or cheering with pom-poms, our fabulous PTA welcomes all kindergarten parents to meet in the library Monday morning. Boo Hoo -Yahoo Breakfast Starting at 7:20
