  1. The One & Only Reason People Go To Hell By Curtis Hutson Hutson Says, People Are Not Going To Hell Because: • They Sin. • They Will Not Stop Sinning. • Of the Kind of Sins They Commit. • They Do Not Live Like Christians. • They Have Not Been Baptized.

  2. The One & Only Reason People Go To Hell By Curtis Hutson “…It cannot be sin that causes a person to go to Hell. It has to be something else.” According to Hutson the Reason Is: • Unbelief in Christ. • Men Will Not Believe in Christ. • Men Will Not Trust Him & Him Alone. • Men Will Not Depend on Him.

  3. The One & Only Reason People Go To Hell By Curtis Hutson Implied in the Article: • Its Alright To Sin. • No Need To Stop Sinning. • Sin Is Not Dangerous. • No Need To Live Like A Christian. • No Need To Be Baptized.

  4. “…It cannot be sin that causes a person to go to Hell. It has to be something else.” Curtis Hutson Ministers of Satan Do Exist For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. (2 Cor. 11:13-15) Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron. (1 Tim. 4:1-2) Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.” (Gen. 3:4)

  5. SIN GOD MAN Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. (Isa. 59:1-2) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 6:23) And the LORD said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.” (Exodus 32:33)

  6. SIN – Disease that causes death! CHRIST – Cure for the disease! But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. (Jas. 1:14-15) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. (Rom. 1:16) How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Heb. 9:14)

  7. GOSPEL TELLS US: • What sin is. • What the cure for sin is. • How to avoid the disease in the future. • How to be cured when we sin again. • Warns of the Judgment. • Pleads with us to be ready by obeying.

  8. What is Sin? Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. (1 John 3:4) Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. (2 John 9) Not everyone who says to Me, “Lord, Lord,” shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?” And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” (Matt. 7:21-23)

  9. What is Sin? LAWLESSNESS • One who acts without authority. • State of being without law. • Bible Sense: Acting Without Authority from Christ. Lawless Acts: • Must be circumcised to be saved. • Infant baptism? • Instrumental Music? • Altar call? • Church-sponsored recreation? • Sponsoring church arrangement for evangelism?

  10. What is Sin? All unrighteousness is sin… (1 John 5:17) My tongue shall speak of Your word, For all Your commandments are righteousness. (Ps. 119:172) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Rom. 1:16-17)

  11. What is Sin? ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS • Fail to do what God commands. • Covers all kinds of sins and violations. Unrighteous Acts: • Sexual Immorality • Murder, Maliciousness • Drunkenness, Carousing • Sins of the Tongue • Strife, Division, Envy, Jealousy • Stealing, Cheating • Disobedience to Parents • Pride, Arrogance • And Such Like… • Gal. 5:19-21 • 1 Cor. 6:9-11 • Rom. 1:22-32 Are You Guilty?

  12. What is Sin? Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. (James 4:17) But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:17-18) Matthew 25:41-46

  13. What is Sin? Not Doing Good • See Good and Can Accomplish, but Don’t Act! Good Deeds Left Undone: • Hungry not fed. • Thirsty not given drink. • Stranger left outside – inhospitable. • Left naked unclothed. • Sick not taken care of. • Widows and orphans left destitute. • Neglected those in prison. • Not attend assembly. • Not invite others to Christ. • Fail to study and grow. Are You Guilty?

  14. What is Sin? But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin. (Rom. 14:23) One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. (Rom. 14:5) Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. (Rom. 14:22)

  15. What is Sin? Violating Conscience • Doing something you believe to be wrong. • Conscience doesn’t determine right & wrong. • Live in accordance with what we believe to be right. You believe the action wrong: • Eating meat sacrificed to idols. • Observing certain days. • Not wearing the covering of 1 Corinthians 11. • Decorating a tree at Christmas time. Must keep educating our conscience by the right Standard – the Word of God.

  16. Sin is: • Lawlessness • All Unrighteousness • Knowing, But Not Doing Good • Violating Conscience

  17. The Cure For Sin I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. (Gen.12:3) But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5) For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Mt. 26:28)
