  1. How to get 2 copies of the same image on screen Double the width if you want the pictures next to each other OR the height if you want them above each other • Open your image in Fireworks • Go to Modify > Canvas > Canvas Size • Change the height or the width, then press OK • Click on the picture with the pointer • Copy and paste • Move the picture next to the original • Lock the original layer Click here if you changed the height Click here to lock the original Click here if you changed the width

How to change the colour of objects Make sure you are on the right layer! • Click on the layer you are changing • Use the lasso tool to cut it out • Copy and paste • Turn off the background layer so you can see what you have cut out • Zoom in (CTRL + Mousewheel) and use the rubber to clean up the edges • To change the colour, go to Hue and Saturation • Tick the Colorize box and adjust the sliders, then press OK • Change back to the background layer Turn the background layer off Tick the box

How to rotate or scale objects Make sure you are on the right layer! • Click on the layer you are changing • Use the lasso tool to cut it out • Copy and paste • Turn off the background layer so you can see what you have cut out • Zoom in (CTRL + Mousewheel) and use the rubber to clean up the edges • To change rotate it or change its size, click the scale tool • Use the dots to change the object, press enter when done • Change back to the background layer Turn the background layer off

How to remove objects Make sure you are on the right layer! • Click on the layer you are changing • Click on the clone tool. • Change the brush size. • Hold down ALT on the keyboard and click where you want to copy from. • Paint over the object you want to remove Make sure you are on the right layer!
