  4. Strategies • #1 attend monthly scheduled job fairs at the Department of Social Services • Identify Community Organizations that offer services to TANF or low income people within the community

  5. Community Organizations • Rental Assistance/Belmont • Buffalo Municipal Housing Projects • Child & Family Services (transition program for women that are restoring their life from domestic violence) • Buffalo Public Schools - after school programs for low-income students (juniors and seniors)

  6. Community Organizations (cont.) • Catholic Charities (GED program for older youth ages 18-24) • Heart Foundation (Step to Employment Preparation) • Community Libraries/Community Centers • Referrals from co-workers

  7. Breaking Down Barriers • Meeting the needs of the client • Providing referrals for community services 1. Food pantries 2. Housing/Shelters 3. Employment agencies or centers 4. Counseling
