Why global south more vulnerable? • What is global south?? • 20% of the population are responsible for 80% of the accumulated carbon build-up in the atmosphere. • the vast majority of population growth is taking place in developing countries where average consumption and GHG emission rates are far lower • Blame to global south whereas North is mostly responsible • Some glimpse of the effect

  15. Women being most vulnerable to bear the cost of Climate change (life saving skills during calamities, collector for basic supply to family, migration, spousal migration- HIV) • Gendered agenda- Capitalism in Climate change agenda

  16. Women’s bodies should not be the vehicle for climate change solutions, but concern for the impact of climate change on women should prompt effective as well as rights- respecting efforts to control greenhouse gas emissions (GHGE).
