- Write the reciprocal for the divisor. 4/5 is the divisor. It’s reciprocal is 5/4.

- Change the sign to multiplication.
Ex: 8/9 x 5/4

- Simplify
Ex: 8/9 x 5/4

2/9 x 5/1

- Multiply
Ex: 2/9 x 5/1 = 10/9

- Change improper fraction to a mixed number.
Ex: 10/9 = 1 1/9
