  2. The significance of this sign! This sign has a huge impact for Canada. This is the sign that resembles “Captain”. The captain position is a huge role that one individual plays to guide his or her team to success. This logo was taken off the mask of our beloved captain, Roberto Luongo. Many, if not all Canadians are very passionate about hockey and know the meaning of the “C” logo. The “C” means a lot. Roberto Luongo of many captains in the National Hockey League guides his team. The colour of the “C” resembles that colour of the franchise that Roberto Luongo plays for, which is the Vancouver Canucks. The colours that represent the Vancouver Canucks are white and blue. As you can see in this “C” logo and the background, there are those colours.

  3. The Skate This piece of equipment resembles Canadian culture greatly. This equipment is a prize position for many Canadians. When Canadians see this piece of equipment, they think hockey. Hockey is the biggest sport in Canada and makes up most of Canadian culture. Hockey brings us all together and units us as a whole. This shows that Canada is a place of diversity and unity.

  4. Protection and freedom This is National Hockey League goaltender. Goaltenders are a important part of a team. This image resembles the safety of the mask for the goaltenders. This image also resembles Canadian Culture because, Canada is a safe place to come. In canada people have many rights and lots of freedom to do what they please because canada is a safe place. This image indicates that the mask is keeping the goaltender safe and protected from anything that may come in contact while doing what they do best “protecting the net”.
