  1. Different Types of Bunk Beds For Kids Kids Beds UK Bunk beds are virtually any type or design of beds which are piled one on top of another one. They're supported by a pole in each corner and the top bunk is generally accessible via a ladder. The top bunk is also surrounded by a rail to stop the sleeper falling out. Not Just Kid's Beds At the house, they are normally employed as child's beds and they allow two people to sleep in one room while maximizing the floor space and room available. Though they are advertised as mostly Kids Beds UK under the age of six, the top bunk is not suggested due to the danger involved in them climbing the ladder to get up there. Bunk beds are used outside of their home also, usually where there is limited floor area for example; • On ships • Army garrisons • Dormitories • Hostels • Prison cells • University halls of residence

  2. Bunk beds may vary greatly in price; you can find economy models that are usually made from metal, solid plastic or soft wooden frames. Instead, more expensive models are available that will be durable as they have a tendency to be made out of hardwood. The more expensive types often come with accessories such as shelves or draws attached. Types of Bunk Beds There are several different Kinds of bunk beds available, they include; • Standard Bunk Beds - Standard bunk beds are the most common form and have two bunks, each with exactly the same sized mattress stacked with one directly beneath the other. Standard bunk beds are usually employed for child's beds. • Twin Over Full - A double over full is arranged like a standard but as the name suggests, has a full sized mattress on the bottom and a twin size on the top bunk. • Futon Bunk - Arranged just like a normal bunk but with a Western design futon couch which converts to a bed at the bottom. These bunk beds are best for small flats or studio flats as the lower portion can double as a sofa in the day. • L-Shape Bunk - This type of bed has got the base bunk laid out at a ideal angle towards the surface so that when it had been viewed from above, it would look like an L shape. This enables a desk, chair or other furniture to be placed in the space beneath the upper bunk. • Loft Bed - A loft bed has just the top bunk which serves to create space underneath that may be used for other furniture such as a couch, a desk or a chest of draws. Some loft beds are created with features such as storage draws or a job station built in. • Triple Wretham Loft Bed - This is where a pair of bunk beds are attached to your loft bed, making three bunks whatsoever. The loft bed is attached so that it's at a ideal angle into another beds, which makes an L shape if viewed from above.
