Information SolutionsStop searching, start finding Some terminology…. • Taxonomy - a hierarchical arrangement of preferred terms (a classification scheme) and the rules that define how information is allocated to a particular category. • Information architecture - a coherent set of strategies and plans for information access and delivery inside organisations (TFPL, 2001). A taxonomy is one of many related tools that provides a foundation for an organisation’s information architecture
