  1. Causes of Infertility in women • Female infertility is the infertility experienced by women and is affected by billions of women worldwide. In about 1/3rd of the total cases, infertility comes from women.

  2. Endometriosis • This accounts to about 30 -40 % of the total number of infertility cases in women. This is a problem that affects a woman’s uterus. • The endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus which prevents conception.

  3. Female Tube Blockage • Fallopian tubes are two thin tubes which help the mature egg to pass from the ovaries to the uterus.  • 15- 20 % of infertility cases happen because of this. Blocked damaged tubes prevent eggs from getting to the uterus and sperm from getting to the egg.

  4. Hormonal imbalance • This is one of the main reasons of infertility. Depending on the nature of the problem, it can be the easiest or the most difficult problem to treat. • This, more often than not can be corrected through medication.

  5. Cervical causes • Women may suffer from this problem where the sperm cannot pass through the cervical canal. •  If the cervical mucus is too thin or thick or is unfavorable to sperm, cervical problems may obstruct the reproduction process from initiating.

  6. Combination infertility • This is when one partner experiences more than one infertility problem or when both the partners experience infertility problems. • The problem can be solved the minute the exact source is determined.
