Procedure. Create your directory in /work1/RSM (you may continue using the directory you made in the morning) Data location / work1/RSM/sun/RSM-course1.tar (140MB) Copy RSM-course1.tar to your directory. DO NOT COPY into /home directory!!.

  1. Procedure • Create your directory in /work1/RSM(you may continue using the directory you made in the morning) • Data location • /work1/RSM/sun/RSM-course1.tar (140MB) • Copy RSM-course1.tar to your directory. • DO NOT COPY into /home directory!! $ cp /work1/RSM/sun/RSM-course1.tar /work1/RSM/[your_name]/ $ tar -xvf RSM-course1.tar

  2. Compiling the programs. • Go to either prog-pcp or prog-t2m • run ifort with “-assume byterecl” and “-convert big_endian”, and run the program $ cd prog-pcp $ ifort -assume byterecl -convert big_endian clm-car1.f -o clm-car1 $ ./clm-car1 Do similar process for all .f files.

  3. Tasks • Compare Historical run and 20C DS data. • Calculate differences between 20C and 21C DS data, with statistical significance. • Compare differences between CCSM and GFDL DS data, with statistical significance. 1 CCSM 2 3 GFDL CCSM
