Pros and Cons of Traveling Alone

Travelling alone to an unknown location might be terrifying experience but for others it's an opportunity to experience some thrill. Both ways, travelling alone has own merits and demerits. Having experienced both, I would like to share my list of pros and cons with the future solo travelers.

  1. Pros and Cons of Traveling Alone Pros and Cons of Traveling Alone Travelling alone to an unknown location might be terrifying experience but for others it's an opportunity to experience some thrill. Both ways, travelling alone has own merits and demerits. Having experienced both, I would like to share my list of pros and cons with the future solo travelers. Your Trip, Your Rules: If you are travelling alone, you make the rules on where to travel, transportation and what to see on your own. Visiting to a new place always brings some anxiety but after some time, it also boost your confidence especially when you start enjoying your journey. On the other hand, travelling alone to a new place can be difficult when you have to deal with people, face language barrier or eating your meal alone yet having everyone's eye of you. Connecting with New People: Being of used to of travelling alone, you tend to become more outward when it comes communicating with a stranger. Solo travel makes you confident, smart and alert so that you can communicate and find help when stuck somewhere. This also has a drawback as if one don't find suitable person to communicate in trip, you tend to get bored fast. Also, don't forget the awkward ways to communicate and understand alien language to move forward. Dividing The Expenses: Solo travel is generally very cheap as you can decide where to cut down the expenses or spend lot of money. When you are travelling alone, you can manage expenses smartly. But, with group travel, expenses such as staying in hotel, meal and transportation are already beared by the group in total. This will save you from the hassle of deciding things on last minute. So, here are the three major pros and cons I find while travelling alone. Do, let me know what you prefer when making plans to visit a new destination.
