Research Thinking and Writing Toolbox INSTRUCTION 1Introduction: Ethical Background “No scientific work should be done without recognizing its ethical implications” MaturanaandVarela: Autopoiesis and Cognition: the Realization of the Living From this lecture you are expected to get a general idea about Computer Ethics from my presentation and by reading two articles by leading computer ethicists Deborah Johnson and Jim Moor.

  3. Research Thinking and Writing Toolbox Introduction: Ethical Background To help you understand articles, there is a video material by Professor Keith Miller, a well known computer scientist and ethicist. It was made for another course, so you do not have any quizz here, but the video is very good support in understanding Johnson and Moor and it gives you good help in understanding the role of ethics in computing.
