  3. Education • Educated in Bournemouth • 1952, graduated high school at the age of 18 • Mother only send to secretarial school • 1953, Goodall attended Queen’s Secretarial School • Left school at 18 to work

  4. Accomplishments • Got secretary job from Dr. Louis Leakey • Got new job from Leakey a few months on studying chimps • Studied at Gombe National Park • Observed chimps • Gave speeches • National Geographic • 1965, ethology degree

  5. Late Life • Married Hugo van Lawick 1964(divorced in 1974) • Had son in 1967 • 1977, Jane Goodall Institute • Wrote book • Still alive

  6. Fun Facts • June 1960 began study on chimps • Kasekela • 10 days observed chimps • Journal • Chimp went into camp • Chimp’s trust • Proved chimps omnivores
