  3. WUW = Wear Ur Worldintegrating information with the real world • which is a wearable gestural , user friendly interface which links the physical world around us with digital information and uses hand gestures to interact with them. • It was developed by PRANAV MISTRY.

  5. The basics… • The Sixth Sense prototype consists of a pocket projector, mirror and a camera. • User have to wear four color markers having red, blue, yellow and green. • Which only comes out to be $350!!!

Working. . . • The device is pendant shaped like mobile wearing devices. • Both the projector and the camera are connected to the mobile computing device in the user’s pocket. • The projector projects visual information enabling surfaces, walls and physical objects around us to be used as interfaces; while the camera recognizes and tracks user’s hand gestures and physical objects using computer-vision based techniques.

  7. Working. . . • The software program processes the video stream data captured by the camera and tracks the locations of the colored markers at the tip of the user’s fingers using simple computer-vision techniques. • It also supports multi touch and multi user interaction.

  17. Advantages. . . • Portable • Inexpensive • “Cool”-device • Multi-sensory • Connectedness between the world and information • Critical thinking skills would be somewhat vital here…allowing teachers a fantastic opportunity for interdisciplinary study with critical thinking components

  18. Limitations. . . • Requires high speed internet which is costly for general use. • Post processing can occur however. • There exists hardware limitations of the devices.
