  3. Statewide Partners Iowa Department of Education Iowa Jump$tart Junior Achievement of Central Iowa Iowa College Access Network Iowa Student Loan

  4. Goals of Iowa Student Loan / Partners Program • Increase state participation • Offered and promoted cash drawing to award 30 participating high schools $1,000 each • Work within national program • Additional recognition for top-performing schools and individuals

  5. School Panel • Bob Mantell • Treynor Community Schools • Financial Literacy Director • Kyle Kuhlers • Alburnett High School • Business/Computer Education

Recognition Results • 30 $1,000 prizes awarded to schools • Intended to improve financial literacy programs and increase scholarship funds • 55 plaques issued to schools • 482 certificates mailed to individuals scoring in top 20% • Press releases resulted in story being covered locally in several regions

  8. Future Plans • Continue current incentives for Challenge participants and achievers in 2012 – 2013 • Goal to increase participation (% change) • Provide feedback to U.S. Department of the Treasury on efforts in Iowa
