  4. Novel Collage Supplies: art paper, markers, scissors, glue sticks, magazines, copy of the novel. Steps: • Select 5 quotes from the book that use vivid, clear imagery. • Select at least 10 graphics and images from magazines to illustrate these quotes. NEATLY CUT THEM OUT. • Arrange & Paste the quotes, graphics & images NEATLYon the art paper. • Use your rubric to guide the design of your collage.

Body Map Directions: Choose one dynamic character from the novel. • Using construction paper, create body maps to reveal complex and essential ideas about this character. • Draw a simple body outline on the page, and complete each statement as it applies to the character, recording it in the proper location. • Support each statement with a quotation (or quotations) from the text.
