Student Related Health Trivia • Removing chocolate milk from the school cafeteria could take off 4-6 pounds of sugar per year from a child’s diet. • Children who are eating a well balanced diet have less behavioral problems. • Early exposure to preservatives, artificial coloring, excessive sugar, and fats can lead to early onset of puberty, ADD, ADHD, and diabetes. • About half of all 15 year olds have had some sort of tooth decay (mostly from fizzy drinks). • A single packet of salt gives you 2/3 of your recommended daily allowance of sodium.
