  2. Students will access their strengths and weaknesses and have a better understanding of their career interest area. • Student will know two in-state and two out-of-state programs/colleges that offer courses in their career field of choice. Learning Targets:

Artistic– Interest in creative expression of feelings & ideas • Scientific – Interest in discovering, collecting, analyzing info about the natural world and applying scientific research findings to problems in medicine, the life and sciences and the natural world • Plants & Animals – Interest in working w/ plants & animals, mostly outdoors • Protective – Interest in using authority to protect people/property • Mechanical – Interest in applying principles to practical situation by the use of machines or tools • Industrial – Interest in repetitive, concrete, organized activities in factory setting • Business Detail – Interest in organized, clearly defined activities requiring accuracy & attention to detail; office setting • Selling – Intrest in bringing others to a particular point of view by persuasion & selling and promotion techniques • Accommodating – Interest in catering to others • Humanitarian – Interest in helping others with their needs • Leading-Influencing – Interest in leading/influencing others by using verbal/numerical abilities • Physical Performing – Interest in physical activities performed before an audience Career Interest Areas
